Brooke Geren McNabb has served as lead lawyer in numerous commercial and personal injury matters and has first-chaired multiple trials resulting in favorable jury and bench verdicts. She represents plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts and in arbitration in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, and her cases have involved a broad range of claims, including breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and other business torts. Ms. McNabb also has extensive experience representing defendants in wrongful death and serious personal injury cases. Ms. McNabb regularly represents and advises clients in the oil and gas, power, petrochemical, and real estate industries.

Ms. McNabb received her law degree with honors from The University of Texas School of Law in 2004, where she was an Associate Editor on the Texas Law Review, Order of the Coif, and a member of the mock trial team. She graduated with honors from the Plan II Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin in 2000, served as President of the Orange Jackets, the oldest women's honorary service organization at The University of Texas, and was Phi Beta Kappa and a member of Mortar Board.

Ms. McNabb is an active leader in the community. She serves as the General Counsel for Communities in Schools Houston and also represents Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council. She is a former Trustee of the Houston Association of Women Attorneys Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing scholarships and fellowships to outstanding women law students at Houston's law schools, and a past president of the Houston Association of Women Attorneys, an organization devoted to promoting women and the interests of women in Houston's legal community. Within Baker Botts, Ms. McNabb serves as the Houston Chair of the firm's Global Women's Forum.

  • Represented closely held energy partnership in a breach of contract, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit involving assets valued at more than $1.5 billion; summary judgment in favor of client affirmed on appeal
  • Represented energy companies in multiple lawsuits involving alleged purchases of stolen hydrocarbons; summary judgments in favor of client affirmed on appeal
  • Represented petrochemical company in an arbitration involving a claim for breach of contract in connection with the delivery of feedstock

  • Represented real estate developer in nuisance lawsuits involving construction of a boutique office building
  • Represented amicus curiae in a nuisance lawsuit involving construction of a high-rise building
  • Represented and counseled real estate investment, development and management company in connection with numerous disputes involving a broad range of issues, including construction, employment, real property, tenant and warranty issues and personal injury claims
  • Represented corporate landlords and tenants in breach of lease disputes

Complex Commercial Litigation

  • Represented major accounting firm in a lawsuit alleging statutory and common law securities violations and conspiracy to commit fraud; summary judgment affirmed on appeal
  • Represented Delaware corporation and its directors in a putative class action alleging breach of fiduciary duty
  • Represented major automobile manufacturer in a multibillion dollar commercial dispute involving warranty and pricing claims arising out of an exclusive supplier's design and manufacture of diesel engines
  • Represented and counseled banks in connection with disputes over rights to corporate-owned life insurance
  • Represented financial services company in multiple arbitrations involving alleged securities law violations, fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and unsuitability
  • Represented the City of Houston in two lawsuits involving claims that the City's SAFE CLEAR towing ordinances were preempted by federal and state laws and were unconstitutional
