Brian Jacobsmeyer is a litigation associate in the Palo Alto office of Baker Botts. He represents clients in a broad range of civil litigation in state and federal courts, with a focus on complex commercial matters involving antitrust and intellectual property.
Brian has significant experience taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, drafting pleadings, and conducting the discovery process. Brian has served clients across a broad range of industries including commercial real estate, manufacturing, medical supplies, and consumer electronics.
While attending the University of Michigan Law School, Brian received the runner-up Jon Henry Kouba Prize for his student note on EU patent law. He also worked as a student attorney for the law school's Entrepreneurship Clinic, assisting clients with entity formation and provisional patent applications.
Prior to law school, Brian worked as a science writer and outreach specialist at an academic physics society.
