Baker Botts Webinar: The U.S. Supreme Court's Impact on Intellectual Property 2018

Media Alert
WASHINGTON, D.C., June 19, 2018 - The United States Supreme Court Term coming to an end in June has been another busy year for developments in intellectual property (IP) law. The Court took up three IP cases this Term addressing several important issues, including the constitutionality of inter partes reviews (IPRs) in Oil States.

Baker Botts L.L.P. will hold a webinar, open to the media, to provide analysis of the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decisions concerning IP and patent law cases.

The webinar panelists, which include former Supreme Court and Federal Circuit clerks, will examine the impact of these decisions and what they mean to the big picture for companies with IP cases to defend or IP rights to manage. They will also discuss what the impact has been on IPRs since Oil States and SAS were decided. Additionally, the panelists will examine other IP cases to watch in 2018, and the impact of Justice Neil Gorsuch’s first year on the Court.
