UPDATE- Future of the Energy Industry in Focus at Baker Botts, Rice University’s Baker Institute Forum

HOUSTON, September 26, 2017 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, to co-host the first Global Energy Transitions Summit with Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy on Sept. 28, 2017. 

The summit is a forum for key industry leaders and decision makers to gain insight into the future of the energy industry and features more than a dozen prominent speakers from the oil, gas and power industries. 

Hosted by the Baker Institute’s Center for Energy Studies and Baker Botts LLP, the event is free and open to the public but registration is required. – UPDATE – Public registration for this event is currently at capacity. Those interested in being added to the waitlist can email bipprsvp@rice.edu and will receive an email confirming their registration if space becomes available. Those who registered before Sept. 11 are guaranteed admittance and do not need to reconfirm. A live webcast will be available at the event page, www.bakerinstitute.org/events/1890. Who: Featured keynotes for the program include former Secretary of State James A. Baker III, the honorary chair of the Baker Institute and partner at Baker Botts, and Robert Johnston, the CEO of the Eurasia Group. 

Steven Miles, a Partner at Baker Botts and Chair of the Firm’s Energy Sector Committee, and Kenneth Medlock, the James A. Baker III and Susan G. Baker Fellow in Energy and Resource Economics and senior director of the Center for Energy Studies, are the program chairmen.
